Is it OK to add a column to the MySQL for phprealty_property?

I want to be able to add a time-stamp (month,day,year and time) in the phprealty_property to record when the listing was first added. I would want to display this too which I think I could handle, but I wanted to know if it would upset anything else in the MySQL table for phprealty_property is a timestamp column was added?
